Was COP 26 a success or a resounding failure? Opinions are divided… But a few commitments were announced, some clarification was provided (on the Paris Agreement Article 6 in particular) – the big question remains: is everyone committed to respect their pledges, this time?

The next COP is… COP 15 (!) which will take place in Kunming, China, in May 2022. That meeting will be a follow up from the first part of COP 15 held in October, dedicated to the Biodiversity stream.

Then we’ll meet again, as Vera Lynn sang, to talk about Climate Change in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, in November 2022.

COP 27 should be much more than a simple update to COP 26, it should be an opportunity to tie the loose ends which were left unresolved in Glasgow.
